Welcome to the Athea GAA website your window on events and
happenings within our club.
Athea GAA is an extremely proud West Limerick club nestled on the banks of the Gale, our club down through the years enjoyed many successes at all levels of competition including recent wins in 2014 and 2015.
Predominantly a football playing club, we currently have teams competing successfully at all grades, namely U10, U12, U14, U16, Minor, U21, Junior and Intermediate Level. We have recently set up a hurling nursery for U6s to U12s to promote hurling within the club.
The future looks very bright for our small club, this is down to the dedication of players, managers and committee members. The players, talented and important as each and every one of them are, they only act only as part of our club. The players are led and served by a very efficient and very hardworking committee that make sure that our club is run to the highest of standards. Teamwork is the ideology behind our club, helping our whole community mesh together to deliver success on the field.
